Storm & Hail Damage

Emergency Storm Damage Services

Rapid response when storms strike — protecting your home around the clock

In the minutes and hours after a severe storm, the decisions you make determine whether the damage is contained — or whether it multiplies. Ongoing water intrusion, secondary mold growth, and compromised structural members can turn a $5,000 roof repair into a $50,000 interior rebuild if the home isn't protected quickly. Dynasty Restoration maintains on-call crews for exactly this window.

We respond same-day across most of our Chicagoland service area for major storm events. Our emergency response includes a fast on-site damage assessment, tarping and board-up of any exposed areas, documentation of everything we observe, and coordination with your insurance carrier — all while a full restoration scope is being developed.

The First 24 Hours — What to Do

  • Stay off the roof. Wet shingles, damaged decking, and downed wires make post-storm roofs extremely dangerous
  • Document everything from the ground with photos and video — time-stamped
  • Move vehicles into garages or under cover; move valuables away from interior leak zones
  • Ventilate wet rooms only if safe; place buckets under active drips
  • Call your insurance carrier and a licensed local contractor — in either order — so both can start working
  • Don't sign any contract with out-of-state storm chasers canvassing door-to-door
  • Keep every receipt for mitigation supplies (tarps, plastic, buckets) — most policies reimburse these under the duty-to-mitigate clause

Our Emergency Response Scope

When we arrive, the priority is stabilization: tarp the roof, board up broken windows or openings, and photograph every angle for the insurance file. Once the property is secure we transition into inspection and claim support — documenting every elevation, writing a preliminary scope, and coordinating with your adjuster. Permanent restoration follows once materials and a crew are scheduled, typically within 1–4 weeks depending on severity and weather.

Frequently Asked Questions About Emergency Storm Damage

Do you respond on nights and weekends?
Yes. Storm events don't keep business hours. Calls after normal hours are triaged by severity and typically receive an on-site response first thing the next morning.
How much does emergency response cost?
Emergency tarping and inspection services are typically covered by your homeowners policy's duty-to-mitigate provision. If the event is not covered, we provide written pricing up front before any work begins.
Should I call you or my insurance first?
Either order works. If you know you have real damage, call us first so we can tarp and protect the home before calling the carrier. If you're unsure, call us for a free inspection before opening a claim.
